About us

Meet our family: A happy couple parents of two, we all born, raised, and brewed in the vibrant culinary landscape of Peru. We've inherited time-honored techniques passed down from our parents, who themselves acquired culinary wisdom from our beloved grannies.

Fluent in English, we've dedicated the past two decades to welcome tourists from all over the world and prior to Covid, we proudly owned a restaurant.

Now, we're thrilled to open our home and let you enter into our place to share with you our culinary secrets. We're thrilled to unveil our culinary secrets to the world. Embark on a mesmerizing three-hour tour with us, immersing yourself in a symphony of tastes, aromas, and experiences. Our journey promises an unforgettable exploration through the following steps:

  • Welcoming and Ice breaker, upon your arrival, as we introduce ourselves and prepare for the upcoming experience, delight in a selection of beverages. You may opt for two rounds, choosing from Peruvian finest wine, Pisco sour, or Chilcano. Alternatively, if you prefer a non-alcoholic option, we offer refreshing choices such as lemonade, coffee, Inka Cola or simply water.

  • A tour along history and Peruvian regions, a captivating journey through history and the diverse regions of Peru, where we will elucidate why Peru boasts such a renowned culinary reputation. Immerse yourself in this enriching experience as we showcase videos, music, and images that illuminate the essence of our culinary heritage. Our dedicated speaker and multimedia presentation are designed to deepen your understanding and appreciation of our rich cultural tapestry.

  • Showtime, the beginning of the culinary magic: with the arrival of spices and powders, the sizzle of meat, and the precision of knives, our kitchen transforms into a vibrant canvas of colors and you first seated will PEEK a COOK. Here, we orchestrate a symphony of flavors that soon will linger on your palate.

  • The feasting hour, after meticulously preparing a dish that will linger in your memory, we extend a warm invitation to join us at our terrace table, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Lima. Against this stunning backdrop, you'll indulge in the fruits of our labor—a tantalizing starter followed by a sumptuous main course. Should you wish for more, a second serving is our joy to offer at no extra charge. Here, within the comfort of our home, your satisfaction is our highest priority, and we delight in ensuring your happiness with our warm hospitality.

Appetizer Choices

  • Papa a la Huancaina is a delectable appetizer featuring thick slices of boiled potatoes generously coated in a creamy sauce. This beloved traditional dish presents a harmonious blend of cheesy, spicy, salty, and starchy flavors and textures, resulting in an irresistibly delicious culinary experience.

  • Ocopa is a luscious sauce infused with the flavor of black mint huacatay, originating from the vibrant city of Arequipa, Peru. This versatile condiment can be served warm, drizzled over tender boiled potatoes, or used as a delightful topping for chilled hard-boiled eggs. Prepared with sun-dried yellow chilis, sautéed onions, garlic, and enriched with the hearty texture of crackers and roasted peanuts, Ocopa promises a rich and flavorful culinary experience.

  • Causa is a traditional dish that features layers of mashed yellow potatoes seasoned with lime juice, oil, and yellow chili pepper, known as ají amarillo.   • As we'll be enjoying our time on the terrace, please note that our home is situated on the rooftop of the building, accessible through four easily navigable floors without an elevator.

  • We offer our Peruvian table culinary experience on daily basis at two different schedules

  • Lunch from 12:00pm to 3:00pm

  • Dinner from 6:30pm to 9:30pm

  • Please bear in mind that PEEK a COOK is our personal residence, and as such, it only allows us to accommodate only 8 people at a time, therefore making advance reservations is highly valued.
